Throughout Scripture, it is clear that Christianity is a lifelong commitment. It is also clear that the longer you faithfully follow Jesus, the more spiritually mature you should become. At BLC, we challenge believers to grow and encourage their steps toward maturity. One way we do this is through our Christian Maturity Class, in which we introduce and discuss Godly habits that should be a part of each person's growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and then help people understand how God has uniquely equipped and gifted them for serving. The time we spend together in this class will provide a place to fellowship with old friends and a chance to meet new friends, as we discover the special gifts that God has given each member. With some people, this may be quite obvious, but to others it will be a new and enlightening experience. After the class, we will ask everyone who is willing to practice Christian maturity, and to be held accountable to sign a Maturity Covenant. Signing, and keeping, this covenant is a requirement for everyone in a leadership position at BLC.
